To Quote My Husband -- BABY EDITION
My husband says a lot of really smart things. You can read those smart things by clicking here. He also says a lot of really hilarious crap. I thought I'd take a break from my usual post content, and give you all a glimpse into what it's like planning for Baby in our house. The following are excerpts from actual conversations we've had recently, as verbatim as it gets! Enjoy!!
****************************
Brian: “What are those reusable diapers called?”
Alison: “Cloth diapers.”
****************************
Brian: “Cloth wipes freak me out!! You don’t wipe poo with
cloth!! I think reusable wipes is, like, a hippy thing, that dreadlocked people
would use.”
****************************
Alison: "Do you think we should get an ottoman to go
with a glider for the nursery?"
Brian: "No. I've realized I can't rock with my feet up
-- it looks like I'm trying to give the chair a lap dance."
****************************
(while registering for baby stuff)
Brian: “Can I take this scanner next door to Best Buy?”
****************************
(on Labor Day)
Alison: “We should go to Buy Buy Baby to see if they are
having a Labor Day sale.”
Brian: “Don’t you think that’s a little on the nose? A labor
day sale?”
Are you planning on using cloth? I loved it - and I heard it helps them potty train faster. Not sure how true that is across the board, but was true for us. Also using cloth wipes if you use cloth diapers seemed easier for us - them you don't need to containers - trash and diaper bin/bag, as well as those accidental disposable wipes that end up in the wash. I would highly recommend a diaper sprayer but it's not needed at first - especially if you breastfeed because every thing is pretty loose
ReplyDeleteSorry for all the typos- I write on my phone.
ReplyDeleteWe used cloth diapers for both our girls...they did not potty train faster. ;-) I loved cloth diapering though, I realize that's a slightly insane sounding thing to say. I have never once rinsed off a diaper before washing it. We used rice paper liners once things got solid.
ReplyDeleteYour husband really do say hilarious things. Where do they get that? lol Even in your labor state he still makes you laugh. That's a good thing.
