New Drawer Knob - a great use of $2
Ok, I'll admit this is not going to be the most dramatic before-and-after I've ever posted. But, it is a work in progress, and I'm thrilled with the subtle change thus far.
We bought this teeny tiny side table from Ikea when we lived in our townhouse. At that time, I was "strongly discouraged" by the awesome man I married from doing anything too permanent with our furniture and home, as we knew we eventually wanted to buy something bigger and rent the townhouse out. Now that we have accomplished that goal, furniture beware! I'm coming after you!
And so....I recently tackled my teeny Ikea tiny side table by giving him (yes, it's a "him") a new drawer pull. It was a $2 impulse-buy at Michael's. Not bad!
BEFORE
AFTER
It's hard to see in the picture, but the knob has "cooler-than-thou" gothic style cross on it. Unfortunately, I realized as I was installing it that this thing is going to be a beast to maintain....I mean, seriously, I can't have that knob getting loose and turning upside-down on me (you catch my drift?). Haha...oopsie. Luckily, we rarely use that drawer.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to paint this bad boy soon, but I'm still deciding on color(s) and techniques.
Do you any existing furniture that could use some sprucing up with new hardware? I'd love to hear about it!
Cheers!
